How to Apply Senior Citizens's ID?

At 60 years old or above, Senior Citizens are eligible to have their IDs.

Senior Citizens are given benefits and privileges based on the Republic Act No. 9994, AN ACT GRANTING ADDITIONAL BENEFITS AND PRIVILEGES TO SENIOR CITIZENS, FURTHER AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7432, AS AMENDED, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “AN ACT TO MAXIMIZE THE CONTRIBUTION OF SENIOR CITIZENS TO NATION BUILDING, GRANT BENEFITS AND SPECIAL PRIVILEGES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES” and Republic Act No. 10645, AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE MANDATORY PHILHEALTH COVERAGE FOR ALL SENIOR CITIZENS, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7432, AS AMENDED BY REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9994, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “EXPANDED SENIOR CITIZENS ACT OF 2010”.

In order to fell this several benefits, they need to present and and show their valid and original Senior Citizens’ Identification Card, even it is by means of representative only.

So how get this Senior Citizen Identification Card (ID)?

Requirements are:
  1. Must be a Filipino citizen who is a resident of the Philippines
  2. Must be 60 years old or above
  3. May apply to senior citizens with dual citizenship provided that they prove their Filipino citizenship and have at least six months residency in the Philippines
*Note: This requirements are the qualification under RA 9994 and may vary per municipality.

Where to apply or register?

===>>> At the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) in the city or municipality where the senior citizen resides.

  3. Free medical and dental services in government facilities
  4. Free vaccinations for indigent senior citizens
  5. Educational privileges

  7. Privileges on granting special discounts in special programs
  8. Express lanes privileges
