PAGASA Weather Update for LPA(2) and Southwest Monsoon as of 4:00 AM 07 August 2018.

Synopsis Issued at 4:00 AM today, 07 August 2018

At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 1,245 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (19.1 N, 133.4 E). Meanwhile, another LPA was estimated based on all available data at 550 km West of Subic, Zambales (14.3 N, 115.2 E). Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Forecast Weather Conditions

Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Palawan, Mindoro Provinces and Western Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Mindanao  and the rest of CALABARZON, of MIMAROPA, of Central Luzon and of Visayas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms  due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains or thunderstorms.

The  rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods and landslides due to  moderate to occasionally heavy.
