SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 150 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (21.8°N, 123.0°E).

 PAGASA WEATHER FORECAST:

TYPHOON "MANGKHUT"
LOCATION OF THE EYE @3PM: 3,075 KM EAST OF SOUTHERN LUZON (15.0°N, 152.7°E) OUTSIDE PAR
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 120 KM/H NEAR THE CENTER
GUSTINESS: UP TO 145 KM/H
MOVEMENT: WEST NORTHWEST AT 35 KM/H

Ilocos Provinces, Apayao, Abra, Batanes, and Babuyan Group of Islands will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to LPA.  Possible floodings and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers  due to Localized Thunderstorms.  Possible flash floods and landslides due to severe thunderstorm|
