Back on their first match-up on 27 July 2019, it was a good fight between the two teams who came from down seed. San Miguel Beermen eliminated No. 2 seed NorthPort in a twice to beat match while Rain or Shine eliminated Blackwater No. 3 seed in a best of 3 series game. Their journey are both not quite easy but was able to have wheels favorable on them. Their win on the quarterfinals is both worthy on the semis. Beermen was able to showcase their championship experience well especially in the last quarter of the match, while Elasto Painters who are thirsty would give a very good fight in this series even we see them here underdog.
