PAG-ASA Severe Weather Update for TP: URDUJA issued at 5:00 AM today.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION "URDUJA" HAS SLIGHTLY ACCELERATED AS IT APPROACHES THE EASTERN SAMAR-NORTHERN SAMAR AREA.

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING SIGNAL

#1 (30-60kph expected in 36 hrs): 

1. Luzon: Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate
2. Visayas: Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, and Southern Leyte

At 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "URDUJA" was estimated based on all available data at 175 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (11.2 °N, 127.3 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 65 kph moving West at 8 kph.

• Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.
• Scattered to widespread rains is expected over Visayas and the regions of Bicol, Caraga and Northern Mindanao within 24 hours. Residents in these areas are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.
• Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the eastern seaboard of Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas due to moderate to rough seas associated with the approaching Tropical Depression.

• 48 Hour(Saturday morning):In the vicinity of San Jose de Buan, Samar(12.1°N, 125.1°E)
• 72 Hour(Sunday morning): 35 km South Southeast of Romblon, Romblon(12.3°N, 122.4°E)
• 96 Hour(Monday morning):55 km Southwest of Coron, Palawan(11.7°N, 119.8°E)
• 120 Hour(Tuesday morning):225 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan(10.8°N, 117.0°E)
