Weather Advisory: Tail of Cold-Front (January 18-20)

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration weather advisory - "tracking the sky helping the country".

SYNOPSIS: Tail-end of a Cold Front affecting the eastern section of Visayas. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon. 

Forecast: Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides will be experienced over the region of Eastern Visayas. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms is expected over Mindanao and the rest of Visayas and the province of Palawan. Cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Bicol region and CALABARZON. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the entirearchipelago withmoderate to rough seas.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms is expected over the rest of Visayas and of Mindanao and the province of Palawan. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the entirearchipelago withmoderate to rough seas.

CLOUDY SKIES WITH MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAINS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL PREVAIL OVER THE REGIONS OF CENTRAL VISAYAS, NORTHERN MINDANAO, CARAGA AND OVER THE PROVINCES OF LEYTE AND SOUTHERN LEYTE DUE TO THE TAIL-END OF A COLD FRONT. RESIDENTS IN THESE AREAS ARE ALERTED AGAINST POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS AND LANDSLIDES.


MEANWHILE THE REST OF VISAYAS AND OF MINDANAO WILL BE CLOUDY WITH LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

THE EFFECT OF TAIL-END OF A COLD FRONT OVER VISAYAS AND MINDANAO HAS WEAKENED. HOWEVER, CLOUDY SKIES WITH LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO PREVAIL OVER VISAYAS, MINDANAO AND THE PROVINCE OF PALAWAN. 

WITH THIS DEVELOPMENT, THIS IS THE FINAL ADVISORY ON THE SAID WEATHER SYSTEM.

Cloudy Skies with light rains will be experienced over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and the province of Aurora. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the whole archipelago withmoderate to rough seas.
