Issue at 11:00 AM today, 14 December 2017 - TROPICAL DEPRESSION "URDUJA" HAS SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIED AND SLOWED DOWN AS IT THREATENS SAMAR PROVINCES.

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING SIGNAL #1 (30-60kph expected in 36 hrs)

Luzon: Catanduanes, Camarines Sur,Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate and Romblon
Visayas: Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, and Southern Leyte, Northern Cebu including Bantayan Island, Capiz, Aklan and Northern Iloilo

At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "URDUJA" was estimated based on all available data at 120 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (11.0 °N, 126.8 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 60 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph moving West at 7 kph.

• Expected to make landfall over Eastern Samar tomorrow morning. 
• Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.
• Scattered to widespread rains is expected over Visayas and the regions of Bicol, Caraga and Northern Mindanao within 24 hours. Residents in these areas are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.

• Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the eastern seaboard of Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas due to moderate to rough seas associated with the approaching Tropical Depression.

1. 24 Hour(Tomorrow morning): In the vicinity of Quinapondan, Eastern Samar(11.2°N, 125.5°E)
2. 48 Hour(Saturday morning):In the vicinity of Dimasalang, Masbate(12.2°N, 123.9°E)
3. 72 Hour(Sunday morning): 225 km Northeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan(11.4°N, 119.9°E)
4. 96 Hour(Monday morning):155 km Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan(10.7°N, 117.7°E)

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS:

TD "URDUJA" will bring Rains with Gusty Wind in places of Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate and Eastern Visayas.

TD "URDUJA" will bring Cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms in the rest of Visayas.

TD "URDUJA" will bring Cloudy skies withscattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in Mindanao, the regions MIMAROPA and CALABARZON and the Rest of Bicol.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience Cloudy skies with scattered rains due to Northeast Monsoon.
