SYNOPSIS: Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon and Western Visayas.
TROPICAL CYCLONE ADVISORY:
SEVERE TROPICAL STORM MALIKSI (formerly "DOMENG")
LOCATION (AS OF 3PM): 2,370 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (32.8N, 141.4E) (OUTSIDE PAR)
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 90 KM/H
GUSTINESS: UP TO 115 KM/H
MOVEMENT:EAST NORTHEAST AT 40 KM/H
FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS:
Metro Manila, Bataan, Zambales, Pangasinan, Benguet and Ilocos provinces with Monsoon Rains will experience a possible flooding or landslides due to moderate to occasional heavy rains due to Southwest Monsoon.
Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding in low lying areas.
Mindanao and Rest of Visayas though experience a partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorms. No significant impact.
