Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "JOSIE" was estimated based on all available data at 170 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (21.7 °N, 122.9 °E)
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 60 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 75 kph
Forecast Movement: moving North Northeast at 25
Forecast Positions: 24 Hour(Tomorrow morning): 585 km North of Basco, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR)(25.6°N, 123.1°E)
48 Hour(Tuesday morning):975 km North of Basco, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR)(29.1°N, 120.6°E)
Occasional rains with gusty winds are still expected in areas under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) #1: Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands.
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring scattered to widespread monsoon rains over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, rest of Cagayan Valley, Western Visayas, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, Mindoro Provinces, and Northern Palawan including Calamian Group of Islands. Residents of these areas, especially those living near river channels, in low-lying areas and in mountainous areas are advised to take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslide, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices and continue monitoring for updates.
Sea travel remains risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon and the western seaboard of Central Luzon, especially in areas under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal #1.
