PAGASA Weather Update for "Habagat", New LPA, TS "BEBINCA" & STS "LEEPI" as of 4:00 PM 13 August 2018.

SYNOPSIS:  At 3:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at  920  km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes (22.4 °N, 130.6 °E).  Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon. Meanwhile, Severe  Tropical Storm "LEEPI" was  estimated based on all available data at 1,820  km East Northeast of  Extreme Northern  Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR)(26.4 °N, 138.6 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 90 km/h with gustiness of up to 115 km/h and moving Northwest at 25 km/h.

LOCATION (AS OF 2PM): 1,380 KM NORTH NORTHWEST OF EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON (32.0 °N, 117.0 °E) [OUTSIDE PAR]
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 55 KM/H
GUSTINESS: UP TO 90 KM/H
MOVEMENT: NORTHWEST AT 30 KM/H

TROPICAL  STORM {BEBINCA}
LOCATION (AS OF 2PM): 925 KM WEST OF EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON (20.5 °N, 113.1 °E) [OUTSIDE PAR]
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 65 KM/H
MOVEMENT: EAST SOUTHEAST SLOWLY 
GUSTINESS: UP TO 80 KM/H

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS


Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro will experience Monsoon Rains due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to moderate to occasional heavy rains
Metro Manila and the rest of Central Luzon and CALABARZON will expereince Occasional Rains due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of Luzon will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains or thunderstorms.
