PAGASA Weather Update for LPA and "Habagat" as of 4:00 AM 15 August 2018.

SYNOPSIS:  Southwest Monsoon  affecting Luzon. Meanwhile, at  3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 725 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (25.3 °N, 126.7 °E) [OUTSIDE PAR].

LOCATION (AS OF 3AM): 1,610 KM  NORTHEAST  OF EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON (OUTSIDE PAR)(32.4 °N, 131.1 °E)
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 80 KPH
GUSTINESS: UP TO 110 KPH
MOVEMENT: NORTHWEST AT 30 KPH

TROPICAL STORM BEBINCA
LOCATION (AS OF 3AM):  945 KM WEST OF EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON (OUTSIDE PAR)(21.2 °N, 112.9 °E)
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 65 KPH
GUSTINESS: UP TO 90 KPH
MOVEMENT: WEST SLOWLY


FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS


Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Group of Islands will experience Monsoon Rains due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to moderate to occasional heavy rains.

Zambales and Bataan will experience Occasional Rains due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or due to thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains or thunderstorms.
