PAGASA Weather Update for LPA & Habagat as of 4:00 AM 16 August 2018.

SYNOPSIS:  Southwest Monsoon  affecting the western section of Luzon. Meanwhile, at  3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA)  was estimated based on all available data at  1,965 km  East  of Visayas  (13.7 °N, 143.6 °E)[OUTSIDE PAR].
 TROPICAL STORM  BEBINCA
LOCATION (AS OF 3AM): 1,280 KM WEST  OF EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON (20.8 °N, 109.7 °E)[OUTSIDE PAR]
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS:  75 KM/H NEAR THE CENTER
GUSTINESS: UP TO 90 KM/H
MOVEMENT: WEST  NORTHWEST AT 10 KM/H

TROPICAL STORM RUMBIA
LOCATION (AS OF 3AM): 1,085 NORTH NOTHEAST OF EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON (29.8 °N, 125.1 °E)[OUTSIDE PAR]
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 65 KM/H NEAR THE CENTER
GUSTINESS: UP TO 80 KM/H
MOVEMENT: NORTH NORTHWEST AT 15 KM/H

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS


Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Provinces, Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands will experience cloudy skies scattered rains and thunderstorm due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to  scattered rains and thunderstorms.

 Eastern and Central Visayas, CARAGA, Davao Region and Northern Mindanao will experience cloudy skies scattered rains and thunderstorm due to Trough of LPA. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of  the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains or thunderstorms.
