PAGASA Weather Update for Tropical Depression "Neneng" & Typhoon {Mangkhut} as of 4:00 AM 12 September 2018.

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "Neneng" was estimated based on all available data at 275 km West Northwest of Basco, Batanes (21.0°N, 119.4°E)(OUTSIDE PAR) with maximum sustained winds of 60 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h. It is moving West Southwest at 20 km/h.

Location of the Eye at 3AM: 1,390 km East of Southern Luzon (14.0N, 137.1E)
Maximum sustained winds: 200 kph
Gustiness: Up to 245 kph
Movement: West at 20 kph

FORECAST:  


Palawan, and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to Southwest monsoon. Occidental Mindoro, the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na mga pag-ulan at pagkidlat-pagkulog dulot ng Trough ng TD “Neneng ang inaasahan sa mga lalawigan ng Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya at Quirino. Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na papawirin na may pulu-pulong mga pag-ulan sanhi ng lokal na pagkidlat-pagkulog ang mararanasan sa La Union,Pangasinan at Aurora.

Ang Zamboanga Peninsula maka angkon sa madag umon nga kalangitan inubanan sa katag katag nga pag ulan, kilat ug pagpanalugdog tungod sa Southwest Monsoon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms is expected over Metro Manila and the rest of NCR-PRSD forecast areas. Light to moderate winds coming from southwest to west will prevail over these areas and the coastal waters will be slight to moderate. 

Rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thuderstorm.
