At 3:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon "OMPONG" was located based on all available data at 425 km East Northeast of Baler, Aurora or 355 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.8°N, 125.4°E) maximum sustained winds of 205 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 255 km/h. It is moving Northwest at 30 km/h. Southwest moonson affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

160 km West Northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte (18.8°N, 119.2°E) 

Weather Forecast Update:

CAR, Ilocos Region Central Luzon, and Cagayan Valley Region will experience Stormy condition due to TY "OMPONG".

Metro Manila and CALABARZON will experience rains with Gusty winds due to TY "OMPONG".

Visayas, MIMAROPA, and Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to Trough of TY "OMPONG" / Southwest Monsoon.

Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorm.
