PAGASA Weather Update for TY QUEENIE as of 5:00 PM 03 October 2018.

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon  "QUEENIE" was located based on all available data at 745 km East of Basco, Batanes or 1,040 km North Northeast of Legazpi City, Albay (21.0°N, 129.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 165 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 205 kph. It is moving Northwest at 15 kph. 

REGIONAL WEATHER FORECAST UPDATE:



NCR Weather Situation:
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Bataan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga Quezon, Batangas, Laguna and Rizal while possible rainshowers or thunderstorm will be over Metro Manila and rest of the forecast areas. Strong to very strong winds blowing from the northwest will prevail over Quezon with rough to very rough seas. Moderate winds blowing from the northwest to west will be over the rest of the forecast areas. 

NORTHERN LUZON: 
ahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na may pulu-pulong mga pag-ulan dulot ng lokal na mga pagkidlat-pagkulog ang inaasahan sa mga lalawigan ng Aurora, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao at Kalinga.

SOUTHERN LUZON: 
Bahagyang mapanganuron sundo sa mapanganuron na kalangitan na may pulu-pulong mga pag-uran ang iiral sa Rehiyong Bikol, Norteng Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon asin Marinduque. Makusog sundo sa napaka-kusog na duros na haling norte sundo norte-sulnupan ang iiral, na may maalon sundo sa napaka-alon na kadagatan.

VISAYAS:
Central and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm caused by the trough of TY Queenie. Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.  Strong to gale force wind from the North to Northwest will prevail over Eastern Visayas with rough to very rough seas. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the West to Southwest will prevail over the rest of Visayas with moderate to rough seas. Light to moderate winds over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro with slight to moderate seas.

MINDANAO:
Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to the Trough of TY Queenie. The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds coming from the Northwest to Southwest with moderate to rough seas.
