SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon "QUEENIE" was located based on all available data at 825 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes (26.9 N, 126.0 E)[OUTSIDE PAR] with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 145 km/h. It is moving North Northwest at 25 km/h.

NCR Weather Situation: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of NCR-PRSD forecast areas. Light to moderate winds blowing from northwest to west will prevail and the coastal waters will be slight to moderate while rough to very rough along the coast of Northern Quezon including Polillo Island.
