PAGASA Public Weather Forecast Update for Tropical Depression "Samuel" as of 4:00 PM 20 November 2018.

Synopsis:  At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression "SAMUEL" was estimated based on all available data at 260 km East of Maasin, Southern Leyte (10.4 N, 127.2 E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 65 km/h. It is moving West Northwest at 20 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon. 
  • "SAMUEL" is expected to make landfall in the area between the southern portion of Eastern Samar and Dinagat Islands tonight.

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 65 km/h
Forecast Movement: Moving Northwest at 20 km/h
Forecast Positions:
24 Hour(Tomorrow afternoon): 45 km South Southeast of Cuyo, Palawan(10.5°N, 121.2°E)
48 Hour(Thursday afternoon):330 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan(10.7°N, 115.9°E)

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITION



Visayas, Caraga Region, MIMAROPA, provinces of Misamis Oriental, Camiguin and Masbate including Ticao island will experience rains with Gusty winds due to TD "SAMUEL".  Possible flash floods and landslides due to scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains.

CALABARZON, rest of Bicol Region, rest of Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD "SAMUEL".  Possible flash floods and landslides due to scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to Northeast Monsoon.  No significant impact.

Metro Manila and rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms.  Possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
