PAGASA Public Weather Forecast Update for Tropical Depression "Samuel" as of 4:00 AM 20 November 2018.

Synopsis:  At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "SAMUEL" was estimated based on all available data at 420 km East of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte (9.7 N, 129.3 E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 65 km/h. It is moving Northwest at 20 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon. 
  • "SAMUEL" is expected to intensifies into Tropical Storm as it make landfall over Dinagat-Samar-Leyte area tonight.

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 65 km/h
Forecast Movement: Moving Northwest at 20 km/h
Forecast Positions:
24 Hour(Tomorrow morning): In the vicinity of Guinsanga-an, Inopacan(10.5°N, 124.8°E)
48 Hour(Thursday morning):130 km North of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan(10.9°N, 118.7°E)

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITION



Caraga, Eastern and Central Visayas and the provinces of Misamis Oriental and Camiguin will experience rains with Gusty winds  due to TD "SAMUEL".  Possible flash floods and landslides due to scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains.

Western Visayas, Bicol Region, the rest of Northen Mindanao and the provinces of Marinduque and Romblon will experience dloudy skies with scattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD "SAMUEL".  Possible flash floods and landslides due to scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao and the provinces of Quezon, Palawan and Mindoro will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD "SAMUEL".  Possible flash floods and landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to Northeast Monsoon.  No significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of CALABARZON will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms.  Possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
