Philippine weather update for Typhoon {WUTIP} as of 4:00 PM 27 February 2019 - PAGASA

Philippine Forecast Weather Condition


NCR: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of NCR-PRSD forecast areas. Light to moderate winds coming from northeast to east will prevail and the coastal waters along these areas will be slight to moderate.

Northern Luzon: Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na may pulu-pulong mahinang mga pag-ulan ang inaasahan sa mga lalawigan ng Aurora, Batanes, Isabela, Cagayan, Quirino at Nueva Vizcaya habang bahagyang maulap na papawirin sa Abra, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union at Pangasinan.

Southern Luzon: Bahagyang mapanganuron na kalangitan ang iiral sa Rehiyong Bikol, Norteng Samar Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, asin Marinduque. Moderato sundo makusog na duros haling norte-sirangan ang iiral, na may moderato sundo sa maukol na kadagatan ang iiral sa Rehiyong Bikol asin Norteng Samar. Maluya sundo moderato na duros haling norte-sirangan ang iiral na may banayad sundo sa moderato na pag-ukol kan kadagatan ang iiral sa Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, asin Marinduque.

FOR: TYPHOON {WUTIP} [OUT. PAR]

According to PAGASA - Typhoon WUTIP has weakened slightly while moving Northward. Location of Center (10:00 AM today) - The eye of Typhoon "WUTIP" was estimated based on all available data at 1,985 km East of Central Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR)(15.8°N,140.1°E).  Maximum Sustained Winds: 160 km/h near the center; Gustiness of up to 195 km/h; Movement: North slowly. Typhoon WUTIP may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow (28 February) and it will be named BETTY.  However, it poses no direct threat to any part of the country.
The name WUTIP (or butterfly) was contributed by Macao S.A.R. (China).

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to monitor for the next update on this tropical cyclone to be incorporated in the Public Weather Forecast at 4 PM today and 4 AM tomorrow. The next tropical cyclone advisory for WUTIP will be issued at 11 AM tomorrow.
