PAGASA Weather Update for Typhoon Tisoy as of 5:00 PM 30 November.

TYPHOON KAMMURI HAS ENTERED THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY AND WAS NAMED "TISOY". 

At 3:00 PM today, the center of Typhoon "TISOY" {KAMMURI} was estimated based on all avaiable data at 1,175 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (13.4 °N, 135.1 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 185 km/h. It is moving West Southwest at 15 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.

TISOY" entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 4:00 PM today.

Rainfall outlook for Monday (02 December): Occasional to frequent heavy rains over Bicol Region, Samar provinces, and Biliran. Moderate to occasional heavy rains over Romblon, Marinduque, and Quezon.
Rainfall outlook for Tuesday (03 December): Frequent to continuous heavy rains over Metro Manila, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, Mindoro provinces, Marinduque, Romblon, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, and Bulacan. Moderate to occasional heavy rains over the rest of Luzon.

Residents in the aforementioned areas, especially those living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to flooding and rain-induced landslides, are advised to take appropriate actions, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates, especially the Thunderstorm or Rainfall Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings to be issued by PAGASA Regional Services Divisions.

Sea travel is risky, especially for small sea crafts, over the seaboards of areas under TCWS, the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of the country due to prevailing or forecast rough sea conditions.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal #1 may be raised over the rest of Northern Samar, Samar, Catanduanes, and Sorsogon in the next bulletin. Disruption of maritime travel may be experienced over these areas.

"TISOY" is forecast to make landfall over Bicol Region between Monday (02 December) afternoon and Tuesday (03 December) early morning.

REGIONAL FORECAST:
Cagayan Valley, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will experience Cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to Northeast Monsoon. No Significant impact.

Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorm. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorm.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to Northeast MonsoonNo Significant impact.
