PAGASA Weather Update for TYPHOON URSULA as of 11:00 AM 26 December 2019.

Sysnopsis: At 3:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon URSULA {PHANFONE} was located based on all available data including Busuanga Doppler Radar at 140 km Northwest of Coron, Palawan (12.8 °N, 119.2 °E), with maximum sustained winds of up to 130 km/h near the center and gustiness up to 160km/h. It is moving West Northwest at 15 km/h. “URSULA” SLIGHTLY WEAKENS AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE WEST PHILIPPINE SEA.

• Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal is now lifted for Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, the rest of Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of extreme northern Palawan.
• Rainfall Outlook
• Today: Light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over northern portion of Palawan including Calamian Islands and Lubang Island. Cloudy skies with scattered rains over Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Rizal, and Northern Quezon.
• Residents in these areas are advised to take appropriate measures to reduce the potential impact of flooding and rain-induced landslides, especially in areas identified to be highly to very highly susceptible to these hazards.
• Other Hazards and Warning Information
• Rough sea conditions will prevail over the seaboards of areas under TCWS. Sea travel remains risky over these areas.
• “URSULA” is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday (28 December) morning.

REGIONAL FORECAST
Central Luzon, Mindoro provinces, Cavite, Batangas, Calamian Islands will experience Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstors due to TY URSULA. Possible flash floods and landslides due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers dur to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
