Synopsis: At 4:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "AMBO" was estimated based on all available data at 110 km North Northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte (19.1 °N, 120.2 °E ) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 30 km/h.

Until Tonight: Light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the northern portion of Aurora.
Between tonight and tomorrow (17 May) evening: Moderate with at times heavy rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
