PAGASA Weather Update for Typhoon "Ambo" as of 11:00 AM, 15 May 2020.

TYPHOON "AMBO" IS NOW OVER CATANUAN, QUEZON AND APPROACHING TO NORTHERN QUEZON- LAGUNA AREA.

Synopsis: At 10:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon "AMBO" was located based on all available data at in the vicinity of Catanauan, Quezon (13.6 °N, 122.3 °E ) with maximum sustained winds of 125 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 165 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 20 km/h.

The eyewall region of Typhoon Ambo is bringing destructive winds and heavy to intense rainfall over the northern portion Bondoc Peninsula in Southern Quezon.

Past landfalls: San Policarpo, Eastern Samar (12:15 PM yesterday); Dalupiri Island, Northern Samar (10:15 PM yesterday); Capul Island, Northern Samar (10:30 PM yesterday); Ticao Island, Masbate (12:00 AM today); Burias Island, Masbate (3:00 AM today); San Andres, Quezon (7:45 AM today).

Heavy Rainfall Outlook:
Today: Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Bicol Region, Quezon, Aurora, Marinduque, Laguna, Rizal, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino.
Tomorrow (16 May): Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Nueva Ecija.
