"AMBO" SLIGHTLY WEAKENS AND IS NOW APPROACHING REAL – INFANTA AREA IN NORTHERN QUEZON.
Synopsis: At 4:00 PM today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm "AMBO" was estimated based on all available data including those from Daet Doppler Radar 40 km South of Infanta, Quezon (14.4 °N, 121.7 °E ) with maximum sustained winds of 100 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 140 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 20 km/h.
The eyewall region of Typhoon Ambo is bringing destructive winds and heavy to intense rainfall over the northern portion Bondoc Peninsula in Southern Quezon.

Past landfalls: San Policarpo, Eastern Samar (12:15 PM yesterday); Dalupiri Island, Northern Samar (10:15 PM yesterday); Capul Island, Northern Samar (10:30 PM yesterday); Ticao Island, Masbate (12:00 AM today); Burias Island, Masbate (3:00 AM today); San Andres, Quezon (7:45 AM today).
“Ambo” is forecast to make landfall over Real or Infanta in Northern Quezon between 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM today.
