SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "CARINA" was estimated based on all available data at 105 km North Northeast of Calayan, Cagayan or 40 km Southwest of Basco, Batanes (20.2 °N, 121.7 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. It is moving Northwest at 25 km/h.

"CARINA" MOVES PAST THE BALINTANG CHANNEL AND IS NOW APPROACHING THE BASHI CHANNEL

Forecast Weather Conditions:

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience Rains with gusty winds due to TD -CARINA-. Possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.

The provinces of Ilocos and Abra will experience will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD -CARINA-. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. [1]
