PAGASA Weather Forecast Update for New LPA as of 05:00 AM 20 August 2020.

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 30 km North of Daet, Camarines Norte (14.4 °N, 123.0 °E). Southwest Monsoon affecting the western section of the country.

Forecast Weather Conditions:

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Bicol Region, CALABARZON and Eastern Visayas will experience Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to LPA. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

MIMAROPA, Western and Central Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to Southwest monsoon. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. [1]
