FIBA Asia Champions Cup Updates 2017: Chooks To Go Pilipinas joins at FIBAAsiaCC.

Chooks To Go Pilipinas now completes the 10-team line-up for Asia’s premier club competition.

The FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2017 will take place in Chinese city of Chenzhou-Hunan from 22-30 September. This will be the 26th edition of Asia's premier club competition. Ten (10) teams from Asia's six (6) sub-zones will battle for top honours in Asian club competition.

The wildcard post was awarded to Chooks To Go Pilipinas after the withdrawal of Japan club SunRockers Shibuya  that were initially scheduled to participate.

The ten (10) participating teams:

  1. China Kashgar *Defending Champion.
  2. Al Riyadi (LBN)
  3. Petrochimi (IRI)
  4. Sarreyet Ramallah (PLE)
  5. Dacin Tigers (TPE)
  6. BC Astana (KAZ)
  7. ONGC (IND)
  8. Al Shabab Al Ahli (UAE) 
  9. Mono Vampire BC (THA)
  10. Chooks To Go Pilipinas (PHI)

Preliminary Round: 

  1. The ten (10) participating teams will be divided into two (2) groups (A and B) of five (5) teams each.
  2. Each team shall play all the other teams within its own group.
  3. The final stage standings will be established after the Preliminary Round as follows:
    1. Group A: BC Astana, Mono Vampire, Petrochimi, Sarreyet Ramallah, Chooks To Go Pilipinas.
    2. Group B: Al Shabab Al Ahli, ONGC, Al Riyadi, Dacin Tigers, China Kashgar
  4. The teams placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in each group will qualify directly for the Quarter-Finals round.
According to Chot Reyes twit last September 05, 2017, Games will be shown @TV5manila & @Sports5PH.
