Gilas Pilipinas Lineup Rigodon

Coach Tab Baldwin (Gilas head coach) conducted a mini practice game at the Meralco gym last July 29, 2015. And as this practice game was brought to the television and social medias, many Filipinos especially the basketball fanatics were disappointed.

Only Jayson Castro and Ranidel de Ocampo were among the remaining Gilas 2.0 who played in the FIBA World Cup at Spain who are available to see during the practice.

Former Gilas members Asi Taulava, Gary David, Dondon Hontiveros, & Sonny Thoss are also there. Some of the new faces are JC Intal, rookie Troy Rosario, Terrence Romeo, Matt Ganuelas-Rosser, and Aldrech Ramos.

But the main Gilas players who are expected to play are not available at all. They were June Mar Fajardo, Marcio Lassiter, Marc Pingris, Paul Lee, Jeff Chan, and Beau Belga. Even Gabe Norwood wasn't there at all.

On the other hand, coach Compton stated that he will be very happy if Calvin Abueva will be a part of the Gilas 3.0.

Fajardo is not available because of injuries while Pingris is set to go to France for personal matters. Lee and Chan are also recuperating from their injuries.

Gilas' naturalized player Andray Blactche personally stated that he is available for our national team. Reports said that his Chinese team won't release him to join practice with other Gilas players are all bunches of lies.

The question is, are we seeing a totally different lineup for this Gilas 3.0? If so, will this new roster have the ability to compete and hopefully get the gold once again for the Philippines after 29 years? What do you think?
