2017 National Budget ensures it's compliant with the high court’s ruling on PDAF.

Sen. Panfilo Lacson, as we recalled his doubt with the 2017 Nat'l Budget that it is riddled with pork barrel, Rep. Karlo Nograles as Committee Chair defended that it has no PORK-BARREL or the PDAF (Priority Development Assistance Fund). He also added that, the Nat'l budget underwent the Department of Budget and Management’s evaluation before the National Expenditure Program was finalized and submitted to the House of Representatives. He also disapproved the senator from its claim that the country's calamity fund was cut to grant pork barrel for President Duterte's congressional allies. Nograles states the current balance of P30-B Calamity fund as of October 31, 2016 and assumed to be P25-B in the month of December. Thus, the fund will be carried over 2017 adding the P15.755 billion with a total of P40-B plus calamity fund. (PNA, 1-05-2016).
