PAGASA Weather Forecast Update for New LPA, STS "LEEPI" & TS "BEBINCA" as of 4:00 AM 14 August 2018.

Issued at:4:00 AM today, 14 August 2018 

SYNOPSIS:  At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 760  km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes (22.7 °N, 128.9 °E).  Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon. Meanwhile, Severe  Tropical Storm "LEEPI" was  estimated based on all available data at 1,775 km East Northeast of  Extreme Northern  Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR)(28.5 °N, 137.1 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 90 km/h with gustiness of up to 115 km/h. It is  moving North at 25 km/h.

LOCATION (AS OF 3AM): 810 KM WEST NORTHWEST OF LAOAG CITY, ILOCOS NORTE   (20.3N, 113.2E) (OUTSIDE PAR)
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 65 KPH
GUSTINESS: UP TO 80 KPH
MOVEMENT:  EAST SOUTHEAST SLOWLY 

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS:


Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales, and Bataan will experience Monsoon Rains due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to moderate to occasional heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Occidental Mindoro,CALABARZON and the rest of Central Luzon will experience occasional rains due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains or thunderstorms.
