PAGASA Weather Forecast Update for Southwest Monsoon and Typhoon "SOULIK" as of 4:00 am 19 August 2018.

SYNOPSIS:  Southwest Monsoon  affecting the western section of Luzon.   Meanwhile, at  3:00 AM today, the eye  of  Typhoon  SOULIK  was located based on all available data at  1,890 km  East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon  (25.0 °N, 139.7 °E)[OUTSIDE PAR] with maximum sustained winds of 145 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to  180 km/h. It is almost stationary.

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITION

 Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Groups of Islands, Zambales and Bataan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to  scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of  the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to ocalized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains or thunderstorms.
