PAGASA Weather Update for TD "Karding" and "Habagat" as of 5:00 AM 08 August 2018.

SYNOPSIS:  At 3:00 AM  today,  Tropical Depression  "KARDING"  was estimated based on all available data at 1,150  km East of Calayan, Cagayan (19.2 °N, 132.4 °E) with maximum winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 65 km/h. Remains almost stationary.  Southwest Monsoon affecting the whole country.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 130 KM/HR NEAR THE CENTER
GUSTINESS: UP TO 160 KM/HR
MOVEMENT:  NORTHWEST AT 15 KM/HR

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS

Metro Manila,  Ilocos Region,Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON,  MIMAROPA, Bicol Region,   and Western Visayas will experience Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorm due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Mindanao and rest of Visayas will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon due to Possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains or thunderstorms.

Cagayan Valley will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods and landslides due to  moderate to occasionally heavy  rainshowers.
