PAGASA Weather Update for Tropical Storm "KARDING" as of 4:00 PM 08 August 2018.

SYNOPSIS:  At 3:00 PM  today,  the center of Tropical  Storm "KARDING"  {YAGI}  was estimated based on all available data at 1,220  km East of  Basco, Batanes  (19.7 °N, 133.6 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 65  km/hr near the center and gustiness of up to 80  km/hr. Moving East Northeast at 15 km/hr.  Southwest Monsoon affecting the whole country.

LOCATION OF THE EYE (3PM TODAY): 2,400 KM NORTHEAST OF EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON (33.8 °N, 141.4 °E)[OUTSIDE PAR]
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 130 KM/HR NEAR THE CENTER
GUSTINESS: UP TO 180 KM/HR
MOVEMENT:  NORTH NORTHWEST AT 15 KM/HR

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS:

Metro Manila,  Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains or thunderstorms

Cagayan Valley will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods and landslides due to  moderate to occasionally heavy  rainshowers.
