PAGASA Weather Update for TS "Karding" and "Habagat" as of 4:00 AM, 10 August 2018.

SYNOPSIS:  At 3:00  AM today,  the center of Tropical  Storm "KARDING"  {YAGI}  was estimated based on all available data at 1,150 km East of  Basco, Batanes  (22.3 °N, 132.9 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 75  km/h  near the center and gustiness of up to 90  km/h. Moving North Northwest at 20 km/h.  Southwest Monsoon affecting the whole country.

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS:

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Bicol Region will experience Monsoon Rains due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to moderate to occasional rains.

Cagayan Valley and Western Visayas will experience Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorm due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flooding and landslides due to scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms  due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains or thunderstorms.
