SYNOPSIS:At 3:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon “MANGKHUT” (formerly “OMPONG”) was located based on all available data at 935 km of West Northwest of Extremw Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (22.0°N, 113.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 180 km/h. It is moving Northwest at 30km/h. Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon.

Weather Situation:The provinces of Zambales and Bataan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of NCR-PRSD forecast areas will have partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds coming from south to southeast will prevail over these areas and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough while becoming rough to very rough over Zambales and Bataan.
