PAGASA Regional Weather Update for TY {KONG-REY} as of 5:00 AM 01 October 2018.

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon"KONG-REY" was located based on all available data at 1,565 km East of Southern Luzon (15.4N, 136.2E)[OUTSIDE PAR]with maximum sustained winds of130 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to160 km/h. It is moving WestNorthwest at15 km/h. Once TY "KONG-REY" enters PAR this afternoon, it will be named as "QUEENIE". 

REGIONAL WEATHER FORECAST UPDATE:



NCR Weather Situation:
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of NCR-PRSD forecast areas. Light to moderate winds blowing from northwest to west will prevail over the western section and from northeast over the eastern section. The coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

NORTHERN LUZON: 
Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na may pulu-pulong mga pag-ulan dulot ng lokal na mga pagkidlat-pagkulog ang inaasahan sa mga lalawigan ng Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga at Aurora.

SOUTHERN LUZON: 
Maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na mga pag-ulan at pagkidlat-pagkulog ang inaasahan sa Kabikulan at Northern Samar. Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na may pulo-pulong mga pag-ulan o pagkidlat-pagkulog ang mararanasan sa Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque at Romblon. Katamtaman hanggang sa malakas na hangin mula sa Timog-kanluran hanggang sa Kanluran na may katamtaman hanggang sa maalon na karagatan ang iiral sa Kabikulan at Northern Samar. Mahina hanggang sa katamtamang hangin mula sa Timog-kanluran hanggang sa Kanluran na may banayad hanggang sa katamtamang pag-alon ng karagatan ang iiral sa Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque at Romblon.

VISAYAS:
Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the trough of TY KONG-REY. Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Visayas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.  Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to West will prevail over the eastern section of Visayas and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds blowing from the Southwest to west will prevail over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Visayas with slight to moderate seas.

MINDANAO:
Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds coming from the Southwest to West and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough over the eastern section of Mindanao. Elsewhere, light to moderate winds coming from the Southwest to West and the coastal waters will be slight to moderate seas.
