PAGASA Weather Update for TY QUEENIE as of 5:00 AM 03 October 2018.

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon "QUEENIE" was located based on all available data at 875 km East of Basco, Batanes (19.6 N, 130.3 E) with maximum sustained winds of 200 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 245 km/h. It is moving Northwest at 20 km/h. 
 

REGIONAL WEATHER FORECAST UPDATE:



NCR Weather Situation:
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of NCR-PRSD forecast areas. Light to moderate winds blowing from east becoming southwest will prevail and the coastal waters will be slight to moderate while rough to very rough along the coast of Northern Quezon including Polillo Island.

NORTHERN LUZON: 
Maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na mga pag-ulan at pagkidlat-pagkulog sanhi ng extensyon ng Bagyong Queenie ang mararanasan sa Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino at Aurora. Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na may pulu-pulong mga pag-ulan dulot ng lokal na mga pagkidlat-pagkulog ang inaasahan sa mga lalawigan ng Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao at Kalinga.

SOUTHERN LUZON: 
Maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na mga pag-ulan at pagkidlat-pagkulog ang inaasahan sa Kabikulan at Northern Samar. Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na may pulo-pulong mga pag-ulan o pagkidlat-pagkulog ang mararanasan sa Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque at Romblon. Katamtaman hanggang sa malakas na hangin mula sa Hilagang-silangan hanggang sa Hilagang-kanluran na may katamtaman hanggang sa maalon na karagatan ang iiral sa Kabikulan at Northern Samar. Mahina hanggang sa katamtamang hangin mula sa Hilagang-kanluran hangang sa Kanluran na may banayad hanggang sa katamtamang pag-alon ng karagatan ang iiral sa Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque at Romblon.

VISAYAS:
Central and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm caused by the trough of TY Queenie. Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.  Strong to gale force wind from the North to Northwest will prevail over Eastern Visayas with rough to very rough seas. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the West to Southwest will prevail over the rest of Visayas with moderate to rough seas. Light to moderate winds over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro with slight to moderate seas.

MINDANAO:
orthern Mindanao and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to the Trough of TY Queenie. The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds coming from the West to Southwest with moderate to rough seas.
