PAGASA Public Weather Update for Tropical Depression "Samuel" & Typhoon {MAN-YI} as of 4:00 PM 22 November 2018.

Synopsis:  At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression "SAMUEL" was estimated based on all available data at 395 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (11.3 N, 115.5 E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 65 km/h. It is moving West Northwest at 30 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon. Meanwhile at 2:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon {MAN-YI} was located based on all available data at 1,525 km East of Visayas (OUTSIDE PAR) (11.8 N, 139.7 E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 145 km/h. It is moving West Northwest at 45 km/h. 

FORECAST WEATHER CONDITION



Cagayan Valley Region will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to Northeast Monsoon.  No significant impact.

Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to Northeast Monsoon. No significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms.  Possible flash floods and landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy.

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR TYPHOON MAN-YI:
 Typhoon "MAN-YI" has no direct effect on any part of the country at the moment. However, it may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this weekend and will be named "TOMAS".
