PAGASA Weather Update for Low Pressure Area as of 4:00 PM 15 March 2019.

Synopsis: Tail-End of a Cold Front affecting Extreme Northern Luzon. Meanwhile, at 2:00 PM today,the center of Tropical Depression was estimated based on all available data at 1,815 km East of Mindanao (8.0 N, 142.8 E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness up to 60km/h. Moving West at 25km/h.


FORECAST WEATHER CONDITION


Ilocos Region, Batanes and Babuyan group of Islands will experience Cloudy skies with light rains due to Northeast Monsoon.  No Significant impact.

Cordillera Administrative Region, rest of Cagayan Valley, Aurora and Quezon will experience Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to Tail-End of a Cold Front.  Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorm.  Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Tropical Cyclone Advisory as of 2:00 PM 15 March 2019.

  • This Tropical Depression may enter the PAR between tomorrow evening and Sunday morning. Once inside the PAR, it will be named "CHEDENG". 
  • Although not the most likely scenario, a landfall scenario over the eastern section of Mindanao on Monday or Tuesday is not yet ruled out.
