Today, moderate to heavy monsoon rains will be experienced over Metro Manila, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, northern portions of Palawan (including Calamian and Cuyo Islands), Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Zambales, Bataan, Rizal, Cavite, and Bulacan. Tomorrow (09 August), moderate to heavy monsoon rains may affect Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro. Light to moderate with at times heavy monsoon rains may be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON and MIMAROPA. Residents in the aforementioned areas, especially those living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to floods and rain-induced landslides, are advised to take precautionary measures, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates, especially the Thunderstorm Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings to be issued by PAGASA Regional Services Divisions. Gusty conditions will continue over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas due to the enhanced Southwest Monsoon. Sea travel is risky over the seaboards of areas under TCWS #1, the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas, and the northern and eastern seaboards of Mindanao due to potentially rough sea conditions.
