Issued at 05:00 AM, September 28, 2019 Synposis At 3:00 AM today, the center of°Severe Tropical Storm "Onyok" was estimated based on all available data at°615 km East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (17.9°N, 127.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of°95 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to°115 km/h. It is moving°West°at°30 km/h.
"ONYOK" INTENSIFIED INTO A SEVERE TROPICAL STORM AS IT MOVES OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA.

• Between today and tomorrow (30 September) morning, the trough of "ONYOK" will bring scattered light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley and Bicol Region
• "ONYOK" is less likely to make landfall in the country throughout the forecast period. Furthermore, this weather disturbance may intensify into a Typhoon within 24 hours.
• Possible raising of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal #2 over Batanes area.
