PAGASA Weather Update for Severe Tropical Storm "SARAH" as of 5:00 AM 22 November 2019.

Issued at 05:00 AM, November 22, 2019 Synposis: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm "SARAH" {FUNG-WONG} was estimated based on all available data at 335 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (22.3 °N, 124.5 °E), with maximum sustained winds of 95 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 115 km/h. It is moving North at 20 km/h. Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) (formerly "RAMON") was estimated based on all available data at 665 km West Southwest of Subic, Zambales or 560 km West of Coron, Palawan (11.6 °N, 115.1 °E).
REGIONAL FORECAST: Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains duet to Northeast Monsoon. No Significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

TYPHOON INFORMATION:

"SARAH" WEAKENS AS IT MOVES NORTHWARD TOWARDS THE SOUTHERN RYUKYUS.

Rainfall outlook for today: "SARAH" is no longer expected to bring significant rainfall activity over the country.

All Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals are now lifted. Despite this, gusts may still be experienced today over Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the surge of the Northeast Monsoon. However, this condition is forecast to gradually weaken throughout the day.
