Mindoro Oriental records 1st confirmed case of COVID-19.

Oriental Mindoro recorded its first ever COVID-19 case - A 1 year old and 9 months Female.

Status of Patient 14 - First confirmed case for COVID-19 in the province:

 - As of 11:08 AM, March 28 according to the conversation of Gov. Bonz and the Doctor in-charged of the patient posted in his wall, "the assessment of patient is much better, on day 2 without fever...appetite is okay...i will request for repeat X-ray tomorrow for comparison...patient steadily improving hopefully" said by the Doctor.

According to the post of their Provincial Governor, "Bonz" Dolor before lunch this day (March 27, 2020), he first posted a good news where there are 7 of their patients awaiting for the result became negative according to DOH while another 5 is still awaiting but confirmed the first ever COVID-19 case they called  Patient 14.

She was only a 1 year old and 9 months from Barangay Ilaya, Calapan City, quoted "mula sa Barangay Ilaya, Calapan City. (Ang aktwal na lokasyon ng bahay ay sa Barangay Bulusan, bagaman ang nakasulat na address ay Ilaya sapagkat dun rehiatradong botante ang guardians) "  - Gov. Bonz Dolor.

The child has travel history to Alabang from March 5 -12. In her case, the governor requested a confirmatory test of her specimen which the agency given an approval. While her guardians has been tested too and are being under strict quarantine.

The Governor "Bonz" Dolor  together with the PHO and City Health Office,  rest assured a strict contact tracing is being implemented from the time the patient is confined and before she was brought to the hospital.

In this regards, Gov. Bonz called the attention of all saying, "HINDI PO MAKATUTULONG ang MAG-PANIC. Sa ganitong sitwasyon, KAILANGAN NATING LALONG SUMUNOD sa mga PANUNTUNAN ng STRICT HOME QUARANTINE, PHYSICAL DISTANCING, LIQUOR BAN at WEARING NG FACIAL MASK o ANUMANG KATULAD NITO. Ipinapaalaala ko po sa lahat na LALO TAYONG MAGHIHIGPIT sa PAGPAPAPASOK ng mga TAO mula sa labas ng ORIENTAL MINDORO. Inaatasan ko ang PNP-PPO, Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard, PPA, Maritime Police, at lahat ng Bantay Dagat na lalo pang higpitan ang pagbabantay sa mga BOARDERS at POINTS OF ENTRY sa buong lalawigan. Nananawagan din po ako sa lahat na kung meron kayong kapamilya na nasa labas pa ng Oriental Mindoro ay huwag ng magpilit pumasok pa para na po sa kapakanan ng inyong pamilya at ng buong lalawigan.
