Synopsis: At 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm "AMBO" was estimated based on all available data including those from Mt. Sto. Tomas (Benguet) Doppler In the vicinity of Tuba, Benguet (16.2 °N, 120.6 °E ) with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 125 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 15km/h.
"AMBO" is forecast to continue traversing Northern Luzon before emerging over the coastal waters of Ilocos Region today. It is likely to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday (18 May) afternoon.

Past landfalls: San Policarpo, Eastern Samar (12:15 PM yesterday); Dalupiri Island, Northern Samar (10:15 PM yesterday); Capul Island, Northern Samar (10:30 PM yesterday); Ticao Island, Masbate (12:00 AM today); Burias Island, Masbate (3:00 AM today); San Andres, Quezon (7:45 AM today).
“Ambo” is forecast to make landfall over Real or Infanta in Northern Quezon between 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM today.

Today: Moderate to heavy rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and the northern portions of Aurora and Zambales.
Tomorrow (17 May): Moderate to heavy rains over Batanes.
