PAGASA Weather Update for Typhoon "Ambo" as of 11:00 PM, 14 May 2020.

TYPHOON "AMBO" WEAKENS AFTER CROSSING THE SAMAR ISLAND AND IS NOW OVER THE TICAO PASS.

Synopsis: At 10:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon "AMBO" was located based on all available data at 40 km West Southwest of Catarman, Northern Samar or 60 km Southeast of Juban, Sorsogon (12.4 °N, 124.3 °E ) with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 215 km/h. It is moving towards the Northwest at 15 km/h.

The eyewall region of Typhoon "Ambo" is bringing violent winds and heavy to intense rains over southern Sorsogon and Ticao Island at this time. The eye of this typhoon may make landfall over the coast of Albay or the northern portion of Sorsogon in the coming hours.

Between tonight and tomorrow (15 May) evening: Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Bicol Region, Quezon, Northern Samar, Marinduque, Laguna, and Rizal.
Between tomorrow evening and Saturday (16 May) evening: Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Northern Quezon, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Aurora, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Isabela, Cagayan, ifugao, Mountain Province, Kalinga, Apayao, and Benguet.
