TYPHOON "AMBO" HAS CROSSED DALUPIRI, CAPUL AND TICAO ISLANDS AND IS NOW APPROACHING BURIAS ISLAND.
Synopsis: At 1:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon "AMBO" was located based on all available data including those from Virac and Daet Doppler Radars at 55 km West Southwest of Juban, Sorsogon or 30 km North Northwest of Masbate City, Masbate (12.6 °N, 123.5 °E ) with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 180 km/h. It is moving towards the Northwest at 15 km/h.
The eyewall region of Typhoon "Ambo" is bringing violent winds and heavy to intense rains over Masbate including Ticao and Burias Islands.
The typhoon is forecast to make landfall over Burias Island within the next hour and over Bondoc Peninsula in Southern Quezon this morning.
