PAGASA Weather Forecast Update for TS "Ulysses"as of 5:00 PM - 09 November 2020.

Synopsis: At 4:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "ULYSSES" was estimated based on all available data at 575 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (12.1 °N, 130.7 °E ) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h moving Northwestward at 15 km/h.

"ULYSSES" INTENSIFIES INTO A TROPICAL STORM.

Track and Intensity Outlook:

Track: On the forecast track, Tropical Storm “ULYSSES” will move generally northwestward today through tomorrow afternoon. Afterwards, it is forecast to turn westward and head towards the Bicol Region-Quezon area. A landfall over Bicol Region- Quezon area on Thursday is likely at this time.

Intensity: “ULYSSES” intensified into a Tropical Storm at 2:00 PM today. It is likely to reach Severe Tropical Storm category within 24 hours and may reach Typhoon category on Wednesday.
