PAG-ASA Weather Update for New Tropical Depression outside PAR.

For New Tropical Depression to LPA: If it does develop into a tropical storm and enter the Philippine area of responsibility, the LPA will be called Vinta, said Engr. Oscar Tabada, PAGASA Visayas director. (SUNSTAR)

At 8:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) outside the PAR was relocated and estimated based on all available data at 1,710 km East of Mindanao (7.5°N, 141.8°E). This weather system has a possibility to enter PAR tomorrow (December 20). The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to continue monitoring for updates regarding this weather disturbance.

At 2:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area outside the PAR was estimated based on all available data at 1,395 km East of Mindanao (6.5°N, 138.8°E). The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to continue monitoring for updates regarding this weather disturbance.

At 4:00 AM today, the Tropical Depression outside the PAR was estimated based on all available data at 2,040 km East of Mindanao (5.1°N, 144.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 40 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 50 km/h.

At 1:00 AM today, the Tropical Depression outside the PAR was estimated based on all available data at 2,190 km East of Mindanao (4.8°N, 145.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 40 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 50 km/h.

The Tropical Depression outside the PAR was estimated based on all available data at 2,275 km East of Mindanao (4.4°N, 146.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 40 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 50 km/h.
