TROPICAL STORM "AGATON" IS NOW OUTSIDE THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (PAR) - issued 2:00 PM, 03 January 2018.

NO TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING SIGNAL

At 1:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "AGATON" was estimated based on all available data at 440 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR) (10.8 °N, 114.9 °E) with Maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph moving West at 25 kph. Three Weather systems will affect the country: TS-Agaton, Tail-end of a Cold Front and Northeast Monsoon. - for 03 January 2018.

"AGATON" HAS INTENSIFIED INTO A TROPICAL STORM AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE COUNTRY - issued 11:00 AM, 03 January 2018.


PAR exit: Expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this afternoon.

At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm "AGATON" was estimated based on all available data at 390 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (10.9 °N, 115.4 °E) with Maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph moving West at 25 kph.

Weather Condition: Moderate to heavy rains is expected over Bicol Region and the provinces of Rizal, Aurora and Quezon due to the Tail-end of a Cold Front. Residents of these areas must undertake precautionary measures against possible flooding and landslides and coordinate with their respective local disaster risk reduction and management offices.

Sea Advisory: Sea travel is risky over the seaboards of Northern Luzon and Southern Luzon, eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, eastern and western seaboards of Visayas, and eastern seaboard of Mindanao due to the surge of Northeast Monsoon.

TD "AGATON" HAS SLOWED DOWN SLIGHTLY AND IS NOW HEADING TOWARD THE WEST PHILIPPINE SEA - issued at: 5:00 AM, 03 January 2018.

All Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals are now lifted.

At 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "AGATON" was estimated based on all available data at 175 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (10.1 °N, 117.2 °E) with Maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 65 kph mocing West at 25 kph.

PAR Exit:24 Hour(Tomorrow morning): 310 km West of Pagasa Island, Palawan (OUTSIDE PAR)(11.4°N, 111.3°E)

Weather Condition: Moderate to heavy rains is expected over Visayas, Bicol Region, Palawan and Quezon due to trough of TD AGATON and Tail-end of a Cold Front. Residents of these areas must undertake precautionary measures against possible flooding and landslides and coordinate with their respective local disaster risk reduction and management offices.
