PAGASA Daily Weather Forecast for 03 January 2018.

PAGASA: La Niña will bring much rainfall during the first quarter of 2018.


SYNOPSIS: Tail-end of a Cold Front affecting eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon. - issued 5:oo PM, 03 January 2018. (Last edited: 7:25 PM 1/3/2018)

FOR: TROPICAL STORM BOLAVEN( FORMERLY "AGATON")- (AS OF 3PM) 
LOCATION :  475 West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan ( 11.0°N, 114.6°E)  
MAX WINDS/GUST: 65/80 KM/H  
MOVEMENT: WEST AT 25 KM/H

Bicol Region, Quezon province, and Northern Samar will experience Cloudy skies withscattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms due to Tail-end of a Cold Front. (Impacts: Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains)

Trough of TS Agaton will bring Cloudy skies withscattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in MIMAROPA and the rest of CALABARZON.

Northeast Monsoon will bring Cloudy skies with scattered rains in places of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.

Northeast Monsoon will also bring Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will also bring Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to Localized Thunderstorms.

Three Weather systems will affect the country: Through of TS-Agaton, Tail-end of a Cold Front and Northeast Monsoon.

SYNOPSIS: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm "AGATON" was estimated based on all available data at 390 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (10.9 °N, 115.4 °E) with Maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph moving West at 25 kph.Tail-end of a Cold Front affecting eastern section of Southern Luzon and of Visayas.

TS AGATON will bring Cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms in Palawan.

Tail-end of a Cold Front will bring Cloudy skies withscattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms in places of Bicol region, Visayas, and Quezon province.

Northeast Monsoon will bring Cloudy skies withscattered rains in Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the province of Aurora.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to Northeast Monsoon.

Localized Thunderstorm will bring Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers in Mindanao.
